Dec 27, 2018 by Henk: Reading For True Life Story Interest As Opposed To Career Change Element
I read this book as I was interested in the real life experiences part, as opposed to changing career. The book is both a true story of someone aiming to reach their dreams and practical help for others to do the same. June gives an account of her experiences of changing career aged 30.
The book is easy to read, the bits of art throughout the book, I thought was a nice touch too. If like me you enjoy reading true life based books or you are looking for advice to change career, I can really recommend this book. I think the price is value for money, whether you benefit from enjoying the personal experiences shared or the series of action plans to help succeed with your our own goals.Reviewed on 18th July 2018 Goodreads.com – Henk

Dec 27, 2018 by Rachel F: Loved This Book.
Loved this book, a very inspiring read for anyone, at any age, no matter what career or vocation you’re focused on.
Easy to dip in and out of (if you’re that kind of reader) but also very captivating and conversational, the tone is as though speaking with a good friend. Lots of short personal stories interwoven with many gems of wisdom and career (and life!) advice. The book also includes very motivating action plan sections, which helps you map out your career direction in a very focused, easy to follow and track method.
This is a great book to use, particularly if you find it hard to focus on your goal, or feel directionless at times, ideal for those of us who tend to hit a ‘roadblock’ somewhere along the way, or meander off and forget what we set out to achieve in the first place!
The plans can be applied across any form of career or even life goal, to give you a clear and practical way of approaching your goal, while also providing you with the understanding of what you’ve learned and how you’ve developed along the way!

Jul 9, 2018 by MrsJ R : I Was Looking For Something That Would Give Me The Tools To Put Me In The Best Position Moving Forward After Layoff/ Redundancy
I brought this book in the hope to get insight into how to change career. The job market is currently really hard, with so many companies closing down causing layoffs and so it’s I was looking for something that would give me the tools to put me in the best position moving forward.
This book did not disappoint. It gave me things to consider and practical guidance. What I liked most is that is keeps things real. It’s not a book that gives empty promises and flippant “You can do it !” but rather it gives REAL advice and tools to take ownership of our responsibility of making the change in career.
It’s like an honest friend telling you exactly how it is, which for me is empowering as it explains how I can make a change for me. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to change career or even progress further in their current career.Reviewed on goodreads.com on 4th Jul 2018 – MrsJ R
